Driving to work this morning, traffic came to a sudden stop. I stopped, too. Unfortunately, the guy behind me did not and he hit me so hard that he shoved me into the car in front of me. A Molly sandwich, so to speak.
Let's forget about the damage to my car, my sore back (I already have a bad back from a car accident 10 years ago, and this didn't help) and the moment of panic as I watched him fail to stop in my rear view mirror. All I can think about is that hopeful little bundle of cells.
Logically, I know that it's HIGHLY unlikely that any harm could come to that potential bundle of cells from the accident, but I am so tense and stressed and sore that it's hard not to worry.
I'm trying to relax. As I sat on the side of the freeway waiting for Highway Partol to come take a report, I forced myself to take deep breaths and try to ease up on the tennsion.
I know I said that I want to stay busy and distracted, but this wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
That's terrible! I've had moments where I'm looking in the rear view and see someone coming so fast I know he must be slamming on his brakes. Awful. I'm sorry you got hit. Multiply cells! Multiply!

Oh gosh how awful! I was in two accidents two Christmas's in a row from driver's not paying attention and there is nothing worse than the moment realizing someone is going to hit you and not being able to do anything to get out of the way. Just breath to try to regulate your stress. If you keep your stress down everything should be fine if there happens to be a bundle of cells on their way down the fallopian tube right now.

That really sucks! I was rear-ended last summer and it was no fun (I hit my own brakes hard, so I didn't slam into the car in front of me, which isn't what you should actually do but it mean my rear and the hitters front absorbed all the damage).
Since then I'm always glancing in my rear view mirror whenever I have to stop particularly quickly. I hope your car is alright. The cells probably haven't implanted yet, so they have no idea what's going on or even that anything happened. Think about it further -- running is probably more motion for them and runners get pregnant.
